Widen your Horizons | How to Style Wide Leg Pants

Happy Tuesday friends!! I am feeling the wide leg love today! There is something about the feeling of wearing breezy wide leg pants that is so comfy to me. First of all, it is no secret that I'm a shorter girl and I feel like there has always been a misconception that if you are short you shouldn't wear wide leg pants because they make you look shorter. False!

Here are a few tips on the easiest ways to style wide leg pants :

1. Wear a shorter top, crop top or simply tuck in your top (full or front tuck)

2. Slimmer, structured, or wrap tops are easier to style with wide leg pants but if you like more of a boxy fit, just make sure it's on the shorter side or tucked in.

3. Wear one color head to toe! Monochromatic dressing can be so chic. This will give you a long continuous line which is what every girl wants! In addition, it can create the illusion you are wearing a jumpsuit. (Without the awkward "strip down to go to the restroom" factor!)

4. If you want to add even more length, wear heels or wedges to help elongate your legs.

5. Try a higher waisted style that sits on your natural waistline. As a result, the volume on the bottom in contrast with your waistline will make your waist look smaller!

6. Don't be afraid of printed or solid styles in bright colors! A wide leg pant in red with a nude blouse can be ultra sophisticated and still make you standout.
