I would consider myself a pretty good rule follower. I wait my turn, stop at red lights and renew my car registration on time... ok maybe not ALWAYS on time. ;) But when it comes to fashion I say do whatever makes you happy! Fashion rules are made to be broken...after all fashion is always better when it has an element of rebelliousness.

Like the rule of no white after Labor Day... It is WELL after Labor Day and I am in head to toe white y'all! After all it is still really hot in Dallas, and Fall doesn't technically start till this weekend so...

As I've gotten older I've learned to embrace white much more. My heart will forever be in the black section of my closet, which let's not even pretend isn't taking over.... but because I'm darker complexion, white is much more of a standout on me whenever I do wear it.

This stripe top can actually be worn as a dress but it has buttons down the sides which let me undo it and tie it in a bow. I'm all about making a piece of clothing work for me in more ways than one.

White skinnies have been hard for me to find. I lovethis high-waisted pair because they are skinny all the way down the calf and aren't too long. They are on sale for $35 and I plan on wearing them a ton next spring!
