Girls Bedroom // Moodboard
I’m finally getting around to doing the girls bedroom! They are currently in separate rooms but I’ve always wanted them to share a bedroom. This space will simply be a place to rest and read… no toys! It should be easier to do this since I designed a playroom for them next door. :)
I have loved this wallpaper mural for SO long and have been waiting for a place to use it. Its even prettier in person than the pictures, then again I’m a sucker for anything watercolor. My daughter loves pink too so I figured let’s do it for her room!
I’m putting the mural behind their beds on the back wall. I’m personally not a fan of accent walls… especially with wallpaper, but I figure since it’s a mural hopefully I can get away with it. I’m also thinking it will make it easier later on (when I’m sure she is going to want to change her room up). If she is anything like me, it will happen sooner rather than later!
I found some antique jenny lind style beds on FB marketplace I want to repaint (if they were natural wood I wouldn’t but they are currently a chalk blue). I will probably repaint them in an emerald green or a pink to match the walls. I love this adorable scalloped quilt at Target for the beds! I like the cream since there will be a lot of color in the room and since I normally lean towards neutral/white bedding anyway. It provides more options to style with pillows too! This dresser caught my eye because of the gorgeous wood tone and the shape of the legs. Plus I figured if the beds are painted I definitely want to bring a natural wood into the room.
I can’t wait to see this room come together! Make sure you are following along to see the process of me transforming this room. :)
