Lakeside Bungalow
Hi there!
Its amazing what a difference you can make in a space without any demo! This project consisted of painting and getting new furniture.
My clients wanted to completely refresh their living and dining room. The only furniture we kept was the couple’s antique dining table. I decided to just have the fireplace surround painted the same white as the trim and the inside black. For very little $ by doing this it completely transformed the space and it made the whole room look so much fresher!
I had all the walls/trim painted Chantilly Lace by Benjamin Moore. There isn’t a whole lot of natural light coming in the space so I wanted a pure white to help brighten up the space as much as possible. Chantilly Lace is a great paint color for this, its a super clean white. The couple loves midcentury design as well, so I wanted to incorporate that into the design with some of the furniture.
The abstract painting in the living room is actually by my brother! He is a local artist in the Dallas area and one of the most talented, creative people I know. He is an amazing figurative artist and began exploring abstract art after I made him make me a custom abstract piece years ago. Little sisters for you… haha! He now does custom alcohol ink paintings for clients in any size! Check out his work here.
Below is a quick transformation video and some before/after pictures of the space!
All available furniture and accessories used are linked below at the bottom of this post!
