Styling a Jar Two Ways | | Real or Faux
Fun fact about me: Flower arranging is one of my favorite things to do for myself… It is so relaxing to me. I did all the flowers arrangements for my own wedding and I believe in a past life I must have worked in a little flower shop… possibly in Europe. :)
Of course I will always opt for real flowers/stems over faux ones but the ease of having some really realistic faux stems in your arsenal is so nice!
When I received this gorgeous jar from Alice Lane Home (currently 20% off at checkout) I couldn’t decide if it would look better with faux blossoms or green leaves… so I thought I would just try both!
There is nothing more luxurious and beautiful than having real stems/florals in your home. Bringing the outdoors in is usually what most rooms are missing! The nice thing about real branches is that they can be FREE as long as you have good clippers and a tree in your backyard…. or a friends backyard. ;) You can go as big as your space or jar allows!
Don’t be afraid to snip some HUGE branches because it will make a beautiful statement in any room. If your vessel is on the lighter side try putting some heavy rocks in the bottom to keep it from tipping. (FYI you will not have that issue with this jar though, it is so heavy and substantial enough to support some huge branches! )
A close second to real branches is these beautiful faux floral stems! They look SO realistic and add some beautiful color and romance to your space. These cherry blossoms also come in white!
